The New York Times have published their travel column ‘36 hours’ solidly since 2002, offering their expertise on the most efficient ways to experience small towns across North America. Barbara Ireland has compiled 150 pieces (all updated) from almost a decades worth of material, making this…

To mention the overall package Agnes Obel….
The photo of her cd cover “Philharmonics” is in my eyes also so characteristic that I would grap for it even if I don´t know who Agnes Obel is. The only minus…I´m really missing the owl on the cd cover.

The combination of music and their videos is always exciting. There are so many you would like to watch over and over again because there so good, others where you wonder why good musicians are able to accept or produce such a bad video like their own. ( I´m telling this, because I already posted a video where I have been thinking exactly that.)
Unlike Agnes Obel. She knows in my opinion how to present and sell herself. The music is nice but together with her poetic musicvideos it´s just beautiful.

And of course… seeing my own book and having a look how my school is presenting it and themselves on the fair has been interesting too.

My short visit to the book fair in Frankfurt has been a bit like expected. Good combined with overstimulation pure. Too many exhibition halls, books and people for one day. Because of that I decided to concentrate on one hall 4.1 Art Books | Art | Design.
The fair stand or even more the new publication of Hermann Schmidt Verlag aroused my interest a lot this year. So here we go…

The new book of Sagmeister has been one of the many which attracted my attention a lot. Unfortunately I think you´ll just know what I mean when you get the opportunity to hold it in your own hands.

On the same fair stand of Hermann Schmidt Verlag I made the nice discovery of the Typodarium, a tear-off calendar with 366 fonts from 252 desigers and foundries. A look on the backside betrayed me, that Lars Harmsen one of my diplom teachers, is responsible for this nice work.

This book is probably interesting for everybody who feels in the same life changing situation as me…
